I want to open the Wildcat on Wednesday of this week wishing the Wildcat family a safe and healthy Thanksgiving. The holidays are a great time to visit your friends, family and loved ones while reflecting on what we are grateful for in our lives. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to serve this exceptional university and represent this first class athletics program with the best fans in the country. Thank you for making Arizona Athletics a special place and for helping us all experience the Wildcat Way.
SPOTLIGHT ON STUDENT-ATHLETES
Arizona men’s basketball center Christian Koloko opened his junior season playing the best basketball of his career. We featured Christian and his amazing Wildcat Journey in a video interview that we know you will enjoy, entitled “My story: Christian Koloko”.
Telling the stories of our student-athletes is part of the mission of our athletics department. We want to showcase the Wildcat journeys of student-athletes as they become sporting, academic and life champions.

FIELDS OF THE MAIN ROMAN EVENT
Coach Lloyd and the Wildcats capped a successful Las Vegas weekend in the Roman Main Event with a dominant 80-62 victory over No.4 Michigan. The Cats were the champions of the event as Christian Koloko was named MVP of the tournament. The two wins at T-Mobile Arena also helped Christian earn Pac-12 Player of the Week honors.
The program is now ranked No. 17 in this week’s Associated Press poll and returns to the McKale Center for a weekend contest. The Wildcats will host Sacramento State at 5 p.m. MST on Saturday, November 27 on Pac-12 Networks and Wildcats Radio 1290 AM. Click here to get tickets for Saturday’s game.
